Fees and arrangements

When you contact me I will try to respond to you within 24 hours.

I offer an initial telephone call free of charge, as an opportunity to discuss in confidence the nature of your difficulties and the ways in which therapy may be helpful for you.

If we decide to proceed with formal sessions, I usually advise to have 5-6 preliminary weekly sessions, before deciding to engage in longer-term psychotherapy.

If I am not able to offer you sessions, I will discuss with you other suitable referrals.

I see clients for weekly sessions lasting from 30 to 50 minutes. The length of therapy varies, as some clients may want to come for a few weeks or months, while some others prefer to engage in open-ended psychotherapy.

The frequency of our sessions may also vary as in some cases meeting twice per week, or more frequently, may be more productive.

During the initial telephone call we will discuss the fee for your therapy, and the frequency of our sessions, if we agree to proceed with regular appointments. I operate on a siding scale, and my fees for clients who are financially solvent start at £80 for weekly sessions. I have some concessionary spaces for people on reduced income.

Once we agree to work together, I expect you to attend the sessions consistently, and to give me at least 48 hours notice for any missed appointment, in order to avoid further charge.
